20 useful websites: my first post and what to check before saving a list

The beginning of REDES is preserved as an archive, alongside a review of information that has changed or needs context.

My first REDES post brought together twenty websites related to productivity, design, learning and digital security. I am preserving the original images as part of my journey. For the website, a separate review distinguishes that earlier piece from an updated recommendation.

Saving a list also means revisiting it

A post can remain a useful starting point even when some tools change. Names, free access and available features do not always stay the same. The archive and the review therefore have different dates and purposes.

Changes checked in this review

Unscreen currently redirects to Canva’s video background removal feature, presented as part of Canva Pro. The Scribehow address redirects to Scribe. FontSpace explains that permitted use depends on each font’s licence. The review distinguishes documented changes from conditions that need to be checked with each service.

Cleanup.pictures offers a free option with an export resolution limit. This illustrates why “free” needs context: it may mean initial access, a particular feature or an export with restrictions. Before beginning a project, check what you can save and under which conditions.

How to use this collection

Start with the task you want to complete and open the tool’s official page. Review the features you need and avoid entering personal information during an initial exploration. If you plan to reuse a creative asset, check the terms for that particular item.

The original collection also mentions search services and repositories for books and articles. Their inclusion in the archive does not confirm that every link remains available or that all materials are in the public domain. The review table identifies what was checked and what remains unresolved.

An archive that records the journey

Keeping the original shows where the project began. Adding corrections makes that record more useful to people arriving later. The gallery preserves the piece, while the review supplies current notes without silently rewriting earlier work.
